Extract images

Every image inside a PDF, at the resolution it was stored, plus its logos, icons and illustrations as SVG. Photos come out exactly as they were embedded.

About the files: JPEGs are copied out byte for byte, never re-encoded, so you get exactly what was put into the PDF. Images stored any other way are decoded and saved as PNG, which loses nothing. Either way, an image comes out at the resolution the PDF stores it, which can be far larger (or smaller) than it looks on the page.

About the vector graphics: a PDF doesn't keep logos and icons as separate files. They're drawn straight onto the page, so the extractor works out which shapes belong together and rebuilds each group as an SVG. It's a best guess: now and then a logo comes out in two pieces, or two neighbours come out as one. Text that was converted to outlines (as slide tools do) is recognised and hidden unless you switch it on. Live text isn't included, but logos are almost always outlined, so they're unaffected.
